I would like to introduce you to The Bomb Sandwich! This is by far one of my favorite sandwiches – ever! Inspired by our local deli in Mira Mesa, this sandwich is loaded high with fresh meats, lettuce, tomato, avocado AND cream cheese! I’ve partnered up with the awesome True Story Foods to bring you this delicious recipe!
You can really make or break a sandwich with the quality of ingredients. True Story Foods is committed to working with ranchers who raise animals on North American farms, chefs who believe in simple ingredients and families striving to eat well. This sandwich is topped high with their fresh bacon, salami and turkey. Their bacon crisps up really well and stays rich and thick after cooking it. The salami and turkey are cut thick making this sandwich irresistible.
I used a fresh baked white bread from the bakery to get this sandwich party started! I cut it into thick slices and gently toasted it. I topped the bottom slice with a thick cut of cream cheese then started stacking the meat on top. Starting with salami, the turkey then the bacon. Fresh sliced tomato and avocado go on next then a layer of thinly chopped lettuce. The top piece of bread held a thick layer of mayo and mustard. This is one hearty sandwich and it is mighty tasty!
These are the best types of sandwiches to make when the family is coming over for some summer fun! That thick layer of cream cheese paired with these delicious meats and fresh veggies is just right for a hearty sandwich!
These would also be great to take out on the lake or to the beach but I would do the assembly once you arrive to your destination. You could pack them in a baggie or plastic wrap but I would be sure to keep it packed tight so it doesn’t fall apart. I sure hope you enjoy The Bomb Sandwich! Get the full recipe below.
