Why Is This The Kids Favorite Chili?
The kids love this chili because it doesn't pack too much heat, only flavor. It only takes 40 minutes to bring this chili to life which makes dinner time much easier. This delicious chili is simple with only 10 ingredients. We enjoy it with chips or on top of hot dogs!

Ingredients in Kid Friendly Chili
- Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
- Onion - I use white or yellow onion in this recipe
- Ground Sausage
or ground beef

- Chili Powder
- Cumin - Has a light flavor that the kids
- Salt + Pepper
- Kidney Beans and White Beans - you can substitute for any of your favorite beans. These are the beans our kids enjoy.
The kids will love this chili because it’s not too spicy and is a hearty dish. Adults, you can always add more chili powder to spice it up.
How To Make the Kids Favorite Chili?
First, cut up the onions. Then open up all the cans of beans and tomatoes. Next, sauté the onions until translucent, about 3 minutes.

Next, add in sausage or ground beef with the seasonings and cook through for 12 minutes.

Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. The kids also love to make this chili because it is so easy to put together. It's quick and they love being able to help out.

Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
- ½ Onion, Chopped
- 1 Pound of Ground Sausage or ground beef
- 2 Tablespoons of Chili Powder

- 1 Teaspoon of Salt + Pepper

- 1 32 oz Can of Crushed Tomatoes

Yes, you can make this kid friendly chili in a slow cooker. Just brown your meat in a skillet first then add remaining ingredients into the slow cooker. Keep on low.
