Homemade Alfredo Sauce

Fresh Alfredo Sauce

Can you taste the difference between Homemade Alfredo Sauce and store bought? I sure can! I have nothing against the store bought if you need it in a pinch but if you’re looking for flavor, you’ve got to try making Alfredo sauce at home! It’s so tasty, fresh and simple! One of my favorite easy weekday meals is pasta with Alfredo. I love switching up tomato based pasta meals with Alfredo sauce made with cream. There are so many ingredients you can pour it on like pasta, zoodles, shrimp, chicken, broccoli or even toast.

Alfredo sauce is pretty simple really. I’m not talking about out of the jar here people. I’m talking fresh, homemade Alfredo sauce! You really don’t need that many ingredients and it tastes SOO much better.

Fettuccini noodles

Homemade Alfredo Sauce on Noodles

I like to pour the Alfredo sauce on top of fettuccine noodles but you can use any noodles you want. If you feel like making homemade noodles too, more power to ya. I did the box kind here but yes I love the homemade noodles even more. We also love it on zoodles!

Make Creamy Alfredo Sauce

Alfredo sauce should be thick and creamy. It starts with a base of butter or a fat then it is thickened with heavy cream. Then add spices and cheese and you have yourself an Alfredo sauce. Get the full recipe below.

The little guy sure had fun with it when he was little all the way till now. My kiddos eat what we eat. Sometimes they like their food separated but I think teaching them young to try different foods keeps them from getting too picky.
