I'm so excited to bring you this mini raspberry pie hearts recipe! These cute heart shaped pies are perfect for Valentine's Day or to make as a fun treat for loved ones, any day of the year! We are just finishing up our kitchen remodel and I'm so happy to be back in the kitchen making new recipes to share with my kiddos and with you, so you can make these in your home. I hope you enjoy these sweet, mixed with a little tart, hand pies!

Ingredients in Raspberry Pie Hearts
This recipe is super easy and fun to make. It uses only a few ingredients to bring together such a cute dessert!
- Pie Dough - I used Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust but you can use any store bought or pre-made pie dough.
- Raspberries - If you prefer to substitute with a different berry, you could try strawberry, blueberry or blackberries for a fun twist.
- Sugars - You'll need granulated sugar for mixing with the raspberries and powdered sugar for making the icing.
- Cream Cheese - Use a bit of cream cheese in each tart to balance the flavors.
- Sprinkles - I used sugar sprinkles, but you can use any preferred sprinkles.

Make Raspberry Pie Filling
First, preheat your oven to 450 for the pies. Next, rinse your raspberries and pour them in a pot to cook on medium heat. Add the granulated sugar and cook down about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

How to Make Heart Shaped Pies
Making heart shaped pies is super easy with a heart cookie cutter. First, roll out your dough onto parchment paper or a clean surface. I microwaved my pie dough for about 15 seconds, or you can let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes prior to using. Next, use your heart cookie cutter to cut out as many hearts as you can.

Count how many pies halves you have so you can fill one side of the pie and leave the others for the pie top.

Fill the Pies
Add ½ teaspoon of the pie filling to half of the heart shapes. Then had ¼ teaspoon of cream cheese to the same hearts.

Make the Heart Shaped Raspberry Pies
Once the filling has been added to half of the hearts, add one heart to the top of each filled heart. Use your fingers to press around the edges of each pie. This will help keep the filing inside of the hearts.

Bake the Pies
Bake the pies at 450 for about 10 minutes. I checked on mine at 9 minus and baked them for 2 minutes longer to get nice and golden on the edges.

Decorate with Icing and Sprinkles
Next, make the icing with the powdered sugar and milk. Drizzle about ½ teaspoon of the icing onto each pie. Next, add your favorite sprinkles to the top. I used red and clear sugar sprinkles but you can add any sprinkles of your choice.
