My new favorite beverage company, offering Hard Kombucha, just opened up a 10,000 square foot operation less than 3 miles away from me. Looks like happy hours will now be held at JuneShine Ranch. With flavors like Blood Orange Mint, Honey Ginger Lemon and Cucumber Mojito, what’s not to love?! Their tasting room in Scripps Ranch is now open. Keep an eye out towards the end of summer for Enclave to open on site with the most delicious superfood filled specials like coconut shrimp tacos and ahi salads.
What is Hard Kombucha?
Kombucha is basically a sweet tea that has been fermented with a culture of yeast and bacteria. There’s a lot of talk about healthy bacteria in the digestive system and immune function which helps with gut health. Probiotics in kombucha can improve gut health and help strengthen the immune system. JuneShine’s brew of organic green tea, honey, and symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY) produces a smooth and light beverage. They add organic cane sugar and brewers yeast for a secondary fermentation. They also found a way to elevate the alcohol in the kombucha. Next, they add in organic juice, spices and cane sugar to taste. An alcoholic drink that tastes good AND includes probiotics, antioxidants and vitamins? I’m in!
I don’t know about you guys but I’m a little burnt out on beer. All the new hard soda, kombucha and cider is much more my jam these days. I’m always down for some champagne too but the freshness, lightness and overall awesome taste of hard kombucha is just what I’ve been looking for in an easy to grab beverage. Have you tried it?
