How to Make a Pickle Board

pickle and cheese board

The kids and I are absolutely obsessed with pickles! I have to share how to make a pickle board with you! These are super easy to create and pack a ton of flavor for a fun snack, lunch or appetizer. A pickle board is great for those who like salty snacks over sweet. With all the summer fun activities going on, it’s nice to have snacks on hand to balance out all the treats. We’re working with SuckerPunch Gourmet to bring you this fun board today and we’ve really had a blast using their pickles in so many fun pickle recipes

Ingredients for a Pickle Board

Assembling a pickle board is really easy to do with the right ingredients. First, you’re going to want to find your favorite pickles and use all the varieties. We used SuckerPunch three pepper pickle chips, garlic dill spears, dill chips plus bread & butter chips! You want a good variety of pickles to make an awesome pickle board. Next, you need some tasty cheese. We found havarti cheese with dill at Trader Joes which was the star cheese of the board. We also added small brie bites and provolone wrapped around salami.

To complete the board, I made sure to add gourmet uncured pepperoni, salt + pepper pistachios, everything but the bagel kettle chips and dill pickle mustard for dipping.

How to Arrange A Pickle Board

First, you’ll need a nice board. I have this cute wooden handle board that’s about a foot long. We started with the cheese and created little piles in different sections of the board. Then add pepperoni in the center and off to one side. Next, add piles of chips and pistachios. Make sure to leave space for the pickles. I also rolled up the provolone and salami together. These are perfect for dipping in the dill mustard and enjoying a pickle in between bites! Add the pickle spears to the right of the pepperoni and add remaining pickles into small piles in the remaining spaces of the board. Finish with a big dollop of mustard.
