Green Juice is one of my favorite ways to get greens in. I love a good salad but there are certain times, I’d prefer to drink my greens. Especially on cold days, I’d rather have a warm lunch than a cold salad. These are the days that I love to enjoy my greens in a drink. I’ve got my favorite Green Juice recipe ready for you to use any day!
Why Drink Green Juice?
Green Juice provides a lot of nutrients that are good for your body. Regular Green Drink consumption can reduce inflammation, support heart and brain health as well as boost your immunity. Green juice includes a lot of vitamins and minerals that your body needs. Read on for more nutritional information.
If I don’t have the ingredients on hand or if I’m in a pinch, I’ll grab one of these green drinks on-the-go. The Green Juice recipe I’m sharing here is not nearly as sweet and has kale, cucumber and celery.
What’s in this Drink?!
I wanted to create a Green Juice that you might actually enjoy drinking so I’ve added some fruit to go along with the greens. This recipe includes Kale, Celery, Cucumber, Apple, Banana, Lemon and a bit of Honey. Since this drink includes Kale and Celery, you’ll have to strain out the liquid to enjoy it as a juice or you can drink the whole thing like a smoothie but it’s a little think that way.
How Do You Make Green Juice?
First, you’ll need to gather all your ingredients and slice the items that need to be cut down. Then you’ll add the ingredients to a blender with water and ice to combine. Next strain the juice into a glass and enjoy! If you make a double batch, you can also refrigerate some for the next day.
You can see in these two photos how the celery separates from the juice. You can either blend longer and drink it as a smoothie or drain the pulp and enjoy the juice.
I hope you enjoy this Green Juice recipe! xo, Bri
