Must Try: Everyday Mixed Nuts
We first made these mixed nuts over winter break when the kids were little. I was working on recipes for the cookbook and playing with spices. I love how these turned out with the warm and toasty spices that are perfect for any snack break.
The mixed nuts you can buy in the store are typically just seasoned with salt so I love that these have a little extra flavor and combine different nuts.

Ingredients in Spiced Mixed Nuts
For this recipe, we are using sage, thyme and chili powder mixed with salt, pepper and brown sugar. I love the combination of savory sweet in these mixed nuts. Grab the full recipe below!

Everyday Mixed Nuts
Mixed nuts with warm and toasty spices that are perfect for your snack break.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup of Cashews
- 1 Cup of Peanuts
- 1 Cup of Pecans
- ¼ Teaspoon of Sage
- ¼ Teaspoon of Thyme
- ¼ Teaspoon of Chili Powder
- ½ Teaspoon of Salt
- ½ Teaspoon of Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon of Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Add all spices to a medium sized bowl and stir.
- Add in olive oil and stir.
- Add in all nuts and stir.
- Pour onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

These are super easy to make and really fun to do with the kids. Once they learn how, they can make these all on their own.

After all the ingredients are in the bowl, stir together to combine.

Lay flat on a cookie sheet to bake evenly.

These Everyday Mixed Nuts store well in an airtight container for as long as they taste fresh. We typically eat these up within a week.
