Melissa’s Produce invited a few San Diego bloggers to attend their produce preview at Fresh Summit. I had never been to Fresh Summit so I was very excited to learn about the new produce trends and find out what Fresh Summit was all about. Jackie from The Seaside Baker and I headed up to Anaheim in the Kia Forte for a fun test drive to the conference. We really enjoyed our experience in the Forte and at the show.
The produce preview with Melissa’s Produce started at 8:30 am so we headed out of San Diego by 6 to make sure we would make it. We got there in plenty of time and had excellent gas mileage the whole time. The Kia Forte has plenty of room and still feels like a compact vehicle. I loved the leather seats and SiriusXM radio.
As I have said before, my favorite thing about the new KIA’s is the keyless entry and push button start. It really just makes life easier. I also really loved driving a compact vehicle for a change. I have gotten so used to driving an SUV that I wasn’t sure I would feel safe in the Forte, but I really did. I use to drive a Honda Civic so it brought me back to the days of no car seats and faster speeds.
I really loved the exterior of the Forte. The steel blue color was really nice and the wheels were super sweet looking.
We had an awesome time with Melissa’s Produce and at Fresh Summit. We hope to go back again next year. Look out for fun new produce from Melissa’s coming to the produce section soon. They are starting to package up cooked vegetables in small packages for fresh convenience. Look for the steamed artichokes!
We came back with a trunk full of goodies from Fresh Summit. If you are looking for a zippy compact with all the comforts of a fancy car, look no further than the Kia Forte. It was a great ride!
I received a Kia Forte as a press loan for media consideration. All opinions are my own.
