How to Make Chocolate Croissants?
First, make sure your pastry dough has defrosted. You can place frozen croissant dough in the fridge overnight to defrost or lay it out on a cookie sheet at room temperature for a couple hours.
Preheat the oven to 400F. Add the pastry dough to a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Slice the pastry dough into small rectangles.
Sprinkle on the dark chocolate chips to the center of each section. Roll up and pinch the ends down. Bake for 12-14 minutes.

The most common and traditional French name for a chocolate croissant is pain au chocolat.
I love to use dark chocolate for chocolate croissants. You can also use bittersweet or semisweet chocolate.
There are lots of options for fillings in croissants. You can also try cream cheese, almond paste, ham and cheese, Nutella, fruit jams or other flavored nut butters.
