I have really been trying to eat healthier at home lately which is not easy to do with a constantly snacking toddler. Since this new healthy venture includes a LOT of veggies, protein and fruit I decided I needed a little treat. This TWIX Bites Party Mix was just what I needed. A good combo of salty sweet with peanuts, popcorn, Chex and chocolaty TWIX Bites.

My kiddo and I headed to Walmart to grab all of our ingredients for the party mix. She got a little crazy once we hit the candy aisle. I don’t know if it was the sugar in the air or what but we had to grab our ingredients and leave before the full meltdown occurred.

A couple days later we made this tasty TWIX Bites Party Mix and it was oh so delicious! It was just the afternoon snack I needed after a long day. A cup of coffee and a handful of warm, chocolatey, crunchy – goodness.

The flavors really come together with the cinnamon, brown sugar and butter mixture. I kept the sugar and butter quantity down to keep it lower in calories.

My kiddo of course gobbled this snack right up. She isn’t a big fan of the peanuts though which I find funny since she loves peanut butter. It must be a texture thing. She found as many TWIX Bites as she could. I hope you enjoy!

TWIX Bites Party Mix Recipe

Ingredients

• 3 Cups of popcorn (popped)
• 2 Cups of Rice Chex Cereal
• 1/2 Cup of Peanuts
• 2 Tablespoons of Melted Butter
• 1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
• 1 Teaspoon of Brown Sugar
• 10 TWIX Bites (quartered)

Instructions

1. Mix the first 3 ingredients in a medium size microwavable bowl.
2. Mix the butter, cinnamon and brown sugar in a small dish.
3. Pour the butter mixture onto the cereal mixture.
4. Stir.
5. Microwave for 30 seconds.
6. Add TWIX Bites and stir gently.
