I put together a super fun Minions Movie Night party idea for you and your kiddos! I made a fresh and tasty white chocolate lemon popcorn and set up all the cuteness to celebrate this super fun movie release. I went with bright pops of yellow, blue, gold and white accents for a fun and unique Minions party idea. Check out all the details below!
Minions Movie Party Ideas
I picked up all of our supplies for the party at Target, my favorite store for any party! The Minions movie comes in a metal pack and would be such a cute gift. It also has 40 minutes of Target exclusive content. I picked up a super cute gold garland and the alternating blue garland. Target also has fun minions licensed products like the little bowls and placemats (above). I found a pack of minions stickers in the $1 bin and used those to help bring all the pieces of the party together. Find more party ideas here.
Minions Party Details
It was so fun to put this minions movie night party together. I love the cuteness involved with all the minion characters. Illumination Entertainment did an awesome job with the animation in the film. I loved bringing the party colors together with cute accents of minion characters and those little goggles they love so much. This party was perfect for an early evening get together with a few friends to watch the new movie and enjoy a few treats.
Party Details

Drink: Lemon Soda Water
Party Favor: Minion Gum + Goggles
Game: Bobbing for Minions (Lemons)
Movie: Minions
Party Colors
I love the look of the bright yellow with royal blue on and gold. Cute but still classy.
White Chocolate Lemon Popcorn
This popcorn is so tasty! I love the flavors of lemon and white chocolate combined with a little salt and crunch. My kiddo could not get enough and just loved the little pieces of yellow and blue chocolates.
Party Bags
I picked up these cute polka dot bags at target and added a strip of black washi tape then filled the bags with the popcorn mixture. The bags are great because you can put just a little bit for the little ones but they also hold a good amount for adults.
I kept the soda water box to use on the party table because I just loved the bright yellow color. The little baskets were only ~$3. I tied a metal gift tag and labeled the party items on each tag. For the party favor, I picked up a few boxes of juicy fruit gum. I added those little minion stickers to yellow paper, cut it out and taped it to the boxes. These were so easy and really just added to the party fun.
Minion Party Decor
The fun goggles also made for cute party decor. I added a set to one of the baskets and filled it with lemons. The kiddos bobbed for "minions" and won a pack of gum when they were done. The white candles were also from the $1 bin. They had a Christmas tag on it but I covered it up with a little minion sticker for the party.
More Design Elements
I happen to really love yellow and have this fun "Laugh" sign that was in my sons room. I put it behind the table for some added color. You could easily print something like this out or just use yellow construction paper on a board.
Lemon Pudding Snack
I wanted to have one more snack for the party so I picked up some lemon pudding and mini nilla wafers. I added the cookies to the bottom of the bowls and topped the pudding with little cookies and the white chocolate baking chips.
Have you seen the Minions Movies yet? Which one is your favorite?
I hope you enjoy this party idea! xo, Bri
