5 Ingredient Toddler Approved Spinach Smoothie Recipe

3 Strawberries
1 Banana
1/4 cup blueberries
Handful of Spinach
Ice

Place all ingredients in your blender and blend. Done!

My toddler gulped this up before I could even think to get a photo of her. I did manage to grab a quick photo of our glasses. (below) I could not believe how happy she was to gobble up this spinach smoothie. I don’t know why though it has all her favorite fruits.

  1. I make smoothies all the time. (Drinking one right now). My son loves them! I take advantage of adding all kinds of fun stuff like flax seed (milled, of course) and carrots. He doesn’t notice the extra little additions.

    1. Hi Maggie, That is a great idea! My main goal was to get leafy greens in the smoothie. Next time I will try adding some flax seed and veggies!

  2. My 2.5 year old has been drinking these for a while and loves them too! We also add kale and use frozen fruit so I don’t need to have ice (no ice maker). Just started adding plain Greek yogurt, ground flax, and carrots to boost the nutritional value and protein too. I feel like if this is what she drinks every morning I don’t worry about how many veggies she eats (or refuses) the rest of the day.

    1. Hi Jen, That is great!

  3. Delicious! Wonderful way to squeeze those veggies in the kids’ diets.

    1. Thanks Barbara! I love adding spinach to smoothies!

  4. I think I ought to sneak in some spinach into our next smoothie… have never tried that before!

    1. Yeah! So much added nutrition and it doesn’t even change the flavor of the smoothie.
