Ingredients in Protein Balls
With only 5 ingredients, that you probably already have on hand, these can be made any day of the week!
- Quick Oats - You could also use old fashioned oats but I prefer the texture of the quick oats in these.
- Peanut Butter - Creamy or Chunky Peanut butter will work. You can also use almond butter or other nut butters of preference.
- Honey - This is the easiest way to sweeten, you can also use maple syrup.
- Cinnamon - Add in this tasty spice or use nutmeg
- Chocolate Chips - You really want something with crunch. Add mini or regular size chocolate chips.
- Add ins - You can use a variety of ingredients to mix this up. Try adding almonds, dried fruit like cranberries, other crushed nuts, coconut shavings, etc. If you are really looking to pack a punch with protein, you can also include protein powder.

Storing Protein Balls
These peanut butter protein balls keep in the fridge really well. I typically store these in a zip lock or air tight container. They will stay fresh for 1-2 weeks but they are typically gone within a few days at our house.
These are great to add to a kids snack for school or put them in an air tight container that fits in your to go bag for the day.

For a fun twist, you can add dried cranberries, coconut, m&m's, nuts or white chocolate.
