Le Parfait Paris, a French Patisserie, has opened it’s newest location in the heart of downtown San Diego. They started off as a bakery / catering service in Mission Valley and now have a storefront for walk-in customers. It is a quaint spot to grab dessert and espresso. They specialize in bright colorful macaroons, tarts, croissants and French savory items for lunch.
Mark and I went to Le Parfait Paris after dinner at Barrio Star a couple weeks ago. We had a great time and really enjoyed our desserts. The desserts were really almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
Our absolute favorite was the espresso eclair. The inside was rich and creamy and covered with a flaky buttery outside. The little chocolate espresso pieces on top were a fun addition.
The decor is minimal which I absolutely love, especially for a french bakery. Le Parfait Paris is a must try if you are in downtown San Diego. Aside from desserts they are also offering savory items like croissant sandwiches, eggs benedict and paninis. Their coffee selection is also very extensive. They plan to offer beer and wine once the liquor license goes through as well.
