Panama 66 recently opened in the Sculpture Garden at The San Diego Museum of Art. The new bar and eatery is the third spot by the people behind Blind Lady Ale House and Tiger! Tiger! The menu includes lunch and dinner with weekend brunch and a full bar.
I attended their opening party to get a look at the new place. It is adjacent to the San Diego Museum of Art and is a great spot to stop in for a drink and a bite to eat. Balboa Park was definitely in need of some good local fare and a bar. Panama 66 has it all.
Their menu and hours are subject to change so make sure to check out their website before heading over. Typical menu items include appetizers, salads, a variety of sandwiches and a decent kids menu that even has a Nutella with banana sandwich. The bar menu includes San Diego craft beers, wine and signature cocktails inspired by the museum.
