Have you heard about The Headquarters in downtown San Diego? What was once the headquarters for the San Diego police department is now a new shopping district next to seaport village in the Seaport District. The Headquarters is totally different than other centers in San Diego. It is unique, historical, local, fun and top rated.
I recently took a tour of the Headquarters and sampled some of the restaurants. Here’s a few snapshots of my journey.
The Shops:
Verde, Urban Beach House (seaside inspired fashion and gifts), Venissimo Cheese, Sunglass Hut, Simply Local (50 local merchants), Seaside Home & Paper, Madison, Lolo, Life is Good, Kitson (boutique pop culture gifts), Geppetto’s Toys, Dallmann Fine Chocolate Boutique, Artonage, Aaron Chang Ocean Art Gallery.
If you are looking for a super cool souvenir from San Diego – Look no further than The Headquarters. They have everything from specialty chocolates, funny books, flip flops, handmade jewelry to an assortment of cheeses.
I absolutely loved the Seaside Home Paper store.
The Restaurants:
Puesto
Seasons 52
The Cheesecake Factory
Starbucks
Pizzeria Mozza (launched by Mario Batali, Joseph Bastianich and Nancy Silverton)
Gelato Paradiso
Eddie V’s
Bruxie
The margaritas from Puesto are made fresh at your table and are so incredibly delicious! The tacos are pretty fab too.
Yum, yum! The Pizza from Pizzeria Mozza is a must try!
Oh! And Seasons 52 has a menu packed with yummy looking food… and for all under 475 calories!
