    The Headquarters in San Diego

Have you heard about The Headquarters in downtown San Diego? What was once the headquarters for the San Diego police department is now a new shopping district next to seaport village in the Seaport District. The Headquarters is totally different than other centers in San Diego. It is unique, historical, local, fun and top rated.

The Headquarters, San Diego - Previous Police Headquarters

I recently took a tour of the Headquarters and sampled some of the restaurants. Here's a few snapshots of my journey.

    The Shops:

Verde, Urban Beach House (seaside inspired fashion and gifts), Venissimo Cheese, Sunglass Hut, Simply Local (50 local merchants), Seaside Home & Paper, Madison, Lolo, Life is Good, Kitson (boutique pop culture gifts), Geppetto’s Toys, Dallmann Fine Chocolate Boutique, Artonage, Aaron Chang Ocean Art Gallery.

If you are looking for a super cool souvenir from San Diego - Look no further than The Headquarters. They have everything from specialty chocolates, funny books, flip flops, handmade jewelry to an assortment of cheeses.

    The Restaurants:

    Puesto
    Seasons 52
    The Cheesecake Factory
    Starbucks
Pizzeria Mozza (launched by Mario Batali, Joseph Bastianich and Nancy Silverton)
    Gelato Paradiso
    Eddie V’s
    Bruxie

The Headquarters, San Diego - Puesto Margaritas

The margaritas from Puesto are made fresh at your table and are so incredibly delicious! The tacos are pretty fab too.

The Headquarters, San Diego - Pizza Mozza

Yum, yum! The Pizza from Pizzeria Mozza is a must try!

The Headquarters, San Diego - Food, Restaurants

Oh! And Seasons 52 has a menu packed with yummy looking food... and for all under 475 calories!

About The Headquarters at Seaport District

The Headquarters at Seaport District is the revitalization of the Old Police Headquarters – a complex of several historic buildings surrounding an open-air courtyard. The Headquarters is the gateway to a 20-acre waterfront development incorporating the historic Seaport Village. Its downtown location is within walking distance of the San Diego Convention Center, PETCO Park, upscale hotels, downtown businesses and the waterfront. This district currently draws more than six million annual visitors. The $40 million renovation project has transformed this historic complex into a 100,000-square-foot sophisticated, open air, urban retail, dining and entertainment destination. Guests will be provided a premier level of service with a full-time concierge staff and valet parking. The Headquarters at Seaport District was developed by Terramar Retail Centers. For more information visit www.theheadquarters.com.

Seriously, go check out The Headquarters and let me know what you think. I really enjoyed my first visit and will be heading back to Pizzeria Mozza for our next date night downtown.  (With a stroll through the shops too of course)!

    Enjoy!
