James is getting very comfortable mixing things up in the kitchen now. I love his little dance moves while he stirs the ingredients in the bowl. I’ve shared that a bit on IG stories but I’m thinking I should really make a video for the blog too. He loves to use different tools in the kitchen, taste the ingredients and mix things together.
Fluffy Strawberry And Nutella Pancakes
Kyla recently started using the stove to cook pancakes and I’m so proud of her for learning this skill. She’s got her own methods and she’s learning a little more with each recipe. These Fluffy Strawberry And Nutella Pancakes are really easy to bring together.
First, mix the sugar, baking powder, salt and flour in a bowl. Once the dry ingredients are combined, you can add in the milk, butter and egg. Stir till all ingredients mix into a batter. In addition, If you let the batter sit for a few minutes, it makes the pancakes even fluffier. Then butter the pan and cook on medium heat. We use a 1/2 cup measuring cup to pour the pancake batter into the pan. Wait till there are bubbles all through the pancakes before flipping. Cook an additional 1-2 minutes on the second side. Meanwhile, you can gather your toppings and get those prepared while the pancakes are cooking.
Once your pancakes are made, you can start adding your toppings. We used Nutella hazelnut spread right on top of the pancake. Then we added sliced strawberries to the top. If you want to add a few more toppings, you can dust on powdered sugar and sprinkle on mini chocolate chips with shaved almonds. This combo of fruit and chocolate with the crunch of the almonds is so yum! Grab the recipe for these easy Fluffy Strawberry And Nutella Pancakes for breakfast below!
