Extraordinary Desserts in San Diego is one of the most popular spots for dessert lovers, known for its beautiful presentation and decadent treats.

Coffee and Drinks at Extraordinary Desserts
Extraordinary Desserts has the best presentation, decadent cakes and unique drinks. It’s a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth.
We started off with a round of hot beverages. Madre got her usual: cafe mocha while I tried the dark hot chocolate and the kiddo had the pink hot chocolate. I don't think I have even seen pink hot chocolate on a menu before and since we were splurging I thought my kiddo must try it and she LOVED it! It was topped with flakes of pink and white chocolate, how could she not love that?

I also don't think I have had a better hot chocolate than this one. It must have been because it was made with dark chocolate or because it is served with a side of fresh whipped cream.

They also have amazing cold drinks, like this refreshing rose lemonade!

Lunch, Brunch and Savory Options
In case you didn't know, Extraordinary Desserts in Little Italy and Bankers Hill has much more to offer than just desserts and treats. They have a full Sunday brunch along with a menu of savory items to choose from including appetizers, cheese plates, sandwiches, soups and salads.

Their savory dishes range from exceptional charcuterie boards to toasted paninis. There are 3 styles of gourmet grilled cheese, several salads and avocado toast options. That tomato soup looked amazing and I really enjoyed the flavors in the smoked salmon panini. It has a miso mayonnaise that pairs really well with the smoked salmon.

The Best Desserts
The Desserts at Extraordinary Desserts are exceptional. They have some of the most beautifully created works of culinary masterpieces in sweet form. The Napoleon was to die for. Their presentation of desserts is a complete work of art.
They have dozens of different cakes, cookies and dessert creations. The black velvet is my absolute new favorite cake! It's made with vanilla bean soaked chocolate cake, layered with cream cheese, mascarpone whipped cream and salted chocolate cocoa nibs. All of their desserts are plated with the most delicious sauces and topped with beautiful edible flowers.

The chocolate caramel cake was also pretty amazing. I love the swirls on the plate and how they always put edible flowers with little specks of gold on the desserts.

Pastry Chef, Karen Krasne has created an amazing menu of delectable desserts. The desserts include morning pastries, whole cakes, bread puddings, cobblers, tarts, pies, cookies, candy bars, cupcakes and petite desserts. The chocolate croissant bread pudding is out of this world. They also have an awesome assortment of sorbets and ice cream flavors.

We didn't get a chance to try the mango panna cotta but I am regretting that decision every time I see this photo. It looks so beautiful and tasty. Another brunch date must be in store for us soon! If this looks good, you should try our mango coconut smoothie!
Oh! Speaking of brunch, they offer a $20 all you can eat display of amazingly beautiful goodness on Sunday's. The tray below was just a part of it.
