BoConcept San Diego

BoConcept San Diego

We are so beyond excited to be working with BoConcept San Diego on our living room. BoConcept makes modern design furniture for the urban-minded customer. Last week I shared my Living Room Redesign : Paint post about our first steps in updating our living room with Behr Paint. We are loving the new color and are so thrilled to jump on board with BoConcept on a full living room makeover. There are a few steps involved in redesigning any room of the house and I wanted to share our process with you.

BoConcept San Diego Beliefs

I first heard of BoConcept at the AIGA San Diego Y-Conference. See the super cool white chair and couch behind Brand-building expert, Denise Lee Yohn? I feel in love with the shape and style of the chair and found out it was a BoConcept chair. After I learned a little more about the company from Precious, the director of operations of the San Diego location, we made an appointment to chat more in store.

BoConcept San Diego

is located in Little Italy on the corner of Cedar and Front Street. The 5,000 square foot store  is inclosed with large windows allowing for a lot of direct light. When I visited for the first time I snapped a bunch of photos so I could get different ideas for our living room.

While I was in the store we discussed the process of redesigning a living room. There is a team of trained design consultants that offer in home design consultations to help find the best solutions for the project.

1. Find Inspiration : I snagged a copy of BoConcept’s catalog and tagged each page that I liked. The 160 page catalog is beautifully designed with all sorts of room decor ideas. Mark and I had already planned out our ideal living room a while back but were never able to implement everything we wanted. We have always wanted a grey couch, small storage space for electronics, a beautiful rug and a few design elements to make the room pop.

2. Book a Consultation : I then booked my in-home design consultation and measure. Precious came to my house and measured our living room so she would have the exact measurements. We talked about all the things we liked in the catalog and what items we thought would work best for our home. Our most important factors are functionality and comfort with a minimalist feel. We also thought we may need some sort of space for a few toys since we do have a toddler in the house. I really like that my kiddo is able to play with her toys anywhere in our home but I also like to be able to tidy up easily at the end of the day.

3. Make it Right : Our next step is to go over our 3D renderings. Our appointment is set for later this week and we can’t wait to see what they’ve come up with!

4. Enjoy it : After we go in for our 3D rendering review, their team will deliver and assemble our room for us to enjoy. BoConcept is really big on making sure the customer is happy, so they don’t stop until everyone in the family is happy with the new space. (I love that!)

The thing I love most so far about BoConcept is that they follow a set of beliefs that works for me. I love that they focus on affordable luxury. I really like nice things but we don’t always have a budget for high quality items. BoConcept really works with their clients and customers to make them happy.

We can’t wait to see the 3D renderings of our living room redesign this week and I can’t wait to share it with you.
