Using only four eggs you can feed a family of four with this delicious breakfast casserole. This tasty bacon and egg bake breakfast recipe can be made the night before, or morning of, for a delicious start to the day.

Ingredients for a Bacon and Egg Bake
This recipe uses very minimal and simple ingredients.
- Eggs - Use 4 Eggs of any kind
- Bacon - Can substitute sausage, any other preferred breakfast meat or veggies
- Sourdough - I like the taste the sourdough brings in for this recipe but you can use any bread
- Milk - We use 2% and you can substitute any other milk of preference
- Butter - for greasing the pan
- Cheese - I used a shredded blend. You can use any style of shredded cheese.

How to Make an Easy Bacon, Egg and Sourdough Bake
First, preheat the oven to 350. Then, you’re going to want to cook your bacon. Next, you want to grease a small round pan with butter. I used a 9 inch cake pan. You could also use a 9 in square baking pan. Once your bacon is cooked, chop it into small pieces. Sprinkle the bacon pieces in the pan.

Prepare the Ingredients
Next, chop the sourdough into cubes and place on top of the bacon in the pan.

Combine Eggs and Milk
Crack the eggs into a 2 cup liquid measuring cup. Add a quarter of a cup of milk. Stir eggs and milk together until combined.

Bake the Dish
Then, poor on top of the sourdough and bacon. Use a spoon to stir everything together and flatten. sprinkle the top with cheese then bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

- 2 Slices of Sourdough, Chopped into cubes

- Add cooked, chopped bacon to pan
- Add sourdough cubes to pan

This Bacon, Egg and Sourdough Bake was super easy to make and tasted so good. The kids both gobbled it up and I loved how simple it was to put together. I made this dish on a Sunday evening and it made breakfast before school on Monday, so much easier.

For small bacon and egg breakfast casseroles, bake for 20-25 minutes. For larger 13 x 9 size casseroles, bake for 40-50 minutes.
Use one piece of bread for every 2 eggs used in an egg casserole.
You can add any veggies or chopped greens to an egg bake to add more variety. Include peppers, onions, arugula, spinach, cooked potatoes, tomatoes, asparagus, etc. You can also try adding different cheeses.
