LEGOLAND California kicked off the summer season with an official grand opening ceremony for its newest attraction, LEGO Ferrari Build and Race! We had the pleasure of attending this super fun event and are excited to announce that Legoland California's Build and Race attraction is open! This new digital technology allows guests to build, test and race their own LEGO Ferrari creation. A Life-size Ferrari F40 LEGO model built out of more than 350,000 LEGO pieces is on display at the center of the attraction. We had an awesome time checking out this new attraction and were so excited to be back at LEGOLAND!
We attended the morning media event ceremony to learn all about the new attraction. The kids were so excited to see the Ferrari built completely out of LEGOs! They've been super into LEGOs lately so it was awesome timing for us to explore LEGOLAND again.
We snapped a few photos and tested out the new attraction. First, you can build your lego Ferrari out of legos using regular or duplo size legos. Then, you can race your car on a track to see how it moves. Lastly, you scan your creation using their new technology to create a digital vehicle. You can customize your car digitally then race it on a large digital track. The kids thought this was so fun. I thought the whole process was a really fun way to learn how things can be created digitally.
The full size Ferrari LEGO car was really fun to see! The kids wanted to build this when we got home. We had a blast checking out the new attraction and can't wait for our next visit to LEGOLAND!
