Gourmet Shrimp Tacos from Rubio's

June is National Seafood Month. That's right - SEAFOOD! Seriously, who doesn't love seafood? Except for those who are allergic or don't eat meat. Sorry friends, you are missing out. In celebration of this super fun theme of a month I am sharing my favorite seafood tacos with you: Gourmet Shrimp Tacos from Rubio's.

You may have heard of Rubio's as the brand known for fish tacos in San Diego. Rubios has a Mexican heritage with Southern California roots and is a leader in the sustainable seafood efforts. But I really think they do the grilled shrimp tacos best. Don't get me wrong I love the fish tacos too but shrimp has been winning me over lately.

I have been going to Rubio's since I was a kid. It was a super popular spot to go to right after high school (back in the day). I would always get the chicken especial burrito. Since they came out with these tasty gourmet shrimp tacos with BACON I have since had a burrito. I first tried the tacos at one of the San Diego Magazine's Best of Parties. We also tried the salsa verde shrimp tacos on flour tortillas. Also REALLY good. Mark and I shared both plates so we could have one of each. YUM!
