We had the best time camping at Mission Bay RV Resort, next door to Campland for a few nights in our trailer. This is a great spot for a local getaway in San Diego and a central location if you're visiting.
Whether you’re traveling in an RV or just looking for a peaceful place to unwind, this resort has everything you need for a fun and easy family trip.

What We Loved About Our Stay at Mission Bay RV Resort:
- Beach Access: The RV spots are literally steps away from the bay. We loved walking right out to the sand, especially in the mornings with coffee or at sunset.
- Easy Bike Rides: We brought our bikes and rode all around Mission Bay, there are so many beautiful paths with views and breeze.
- Pet Friendly: Lucy loved it just as much as we did! The resort is dog-friendly and there’s plenty of space for walks.
- Quiet and Clean: The resort was calm and well-kept, which made it feel even more relaxing.

Great Campground for Families
With wide open spaces, calm water, and a family-friendly atmosphere, this spot is ideal for traveling with kids. Ours loved being able to play outside, go swimming in the pool, ride bikes, and play games at the clubhouse.
The clubhouse is a great spot for kids and teens to hang out. They offer pool, air hockey, TV, board games and crafts.

A Few Tips:
- Book ahead—this place is popular, especially on weekends and during summer.
- Bring your paddle boards or kayaks if you have them. The water is perfect for it! You can also rent them at Campland.
- If you don’t have an RV, there are rental options nearby or you can check out their sister site, Campland on the Bay, which has other options.
Whether you're a San Diego local like us or planning a vacation here, Mission Bay RV Resort is an awesome way to enjoy the outdoors, spend time with family, and soak up that Southern California sunshine.

Activities on the Bay
You know I love to paddle board on Mission Bay. There are lots of options for other activities offered at Campland as well. All guests who stay at Mission Bay RV Resort are able to use the amenities at Campland. We rented a Surrey, which is a 4 seater bike that's fun to drive around the campground and by the bay. They also have paddleboat and kayak rentals.

There is a nice open space for paddle boarding, pedal boats and kayaks.

The best part of camping is enjoying meals outside. I loved that we had views of the bay while we ate or got ready to head out on bikes for the day.

Thank you to Mission Bay RV Resort for hosting us on this trip. All opinions are my own.
