Rise and Grind

I have been waking up much earlier these days. My hubby got a new job a few weeks ago so he started waking up around 4:30. Initially I was not too excited about this early wakeup but it has turned into something wonderful for me. I have found that getting up earlier has enabled me to actually have some sort of schedule for myself. Having a toddler doesn’t always allow that. I wanted to share my new work at home schedule because it finally feels like I have a little time to get things done these days.

WAHM Schedule:
4:30 (or 5) Wake Up
5-6:30 Work
6:30-7:15 Kiddo wake up, eat breakfast and get dressed
7:15/7:30 Drop off kiddo at preschool
8-11:30 Work
11:30/12 Pick up kiddo from preschool
12/12:30 Lunch
12-1:30 Play
1:30- 2:30 Nap for kiddo / Work for me
2:30-4:30 Play / TV / Chores / Some Work
4:30/5 Cook
5:30 Dinner
6:30 Kiddo Bath
7 Kiddo Bedtime
7:30 Shower / Momma TV time or Writing
9 Bed

This is our schedule for MWF when my kiddo has preschool. On Tuesdays and Thursdays things are a bit different in the morning with swim class and fun with friends. But most generally this is how things work out. And I say most generally because it is 7:15 am while I am writing this and my kiddo is still sleeping on a Monday. Ah well. It is so nice to have a bit of structure. Running a business, a blog and a household while raising a kiddo is not always easy but I love it. Oh and coffee really helps. Rise and Grind, friends!

    I love this! You go mama. This looks a lot how my schedule looked like when it was just Alana…sometimes it was backwards…I’d start work at 12am. Sometimes that can be the case. With two now, I am a bit thrown off. Even after the first year. Haha. Thanks for sharing. xoxo!

    Woohoo. Love your schedule. And yes, coffee is a must.

    My mission once the kids go back to school is get a proper schedule of my own going, I don’t know how I’ve survived summer between juggling work, mama I’m hungry every 2 minutes, feeling guilty because I haven’t had a fun adventure with them every day, housework and the list goes on. I feel like I’m constantly running from one thing to the next, but rarely completing anything.

    I find that I sometimes like those short spurts of work – and then other times I find it challenging to stop in the middle of a task or project all the time. When I was getting up before the kids that helped a lot, but I’ve been sleeping in this summer. Gotta get ready to get back in the groove – rise and grind baby!

    It’s nice to see what others do. I have such a difficult time with schedules. I’m such a flutter from one activity to the next/multi-tasker that I often don’t spend my time wisely. Thanks for sharing this!
