New Fall Fare At True Food Kitchen

Have you ever eaten at True Food Kitchen in Fashion Valley? It’s a nutrition-focused restaurant with a menu based on the principals of an anti-inflammatory diet. True Food Kitchen’s menus are perfect for enjoying a healthy balanced meal. They offer dishes focused on wholesome, all-natural food that is prepared simply to highlight the natural health benefits and tastes of each ingredient. I went for a preview of their new fall fare last week and enjoyed every bite.

I ordered a couple appetizers, entrees and desserts to get a good taste of the menu. We sampled the following dishes:

APPETIZERS

ROASTED SEASONAL VEGETABLE BOARD: Avocado Green Goddess Dip & Pimento Cashew Cheese Spread

BUTTERNUT SQUASH PIZZA: Walnut, Smoked Mozzarella, Sweet Onion & Arugula

ENTREES

KALE CRUNCH: Avocado, Grapefruit, Kale, Cabbage, Watercress, Radish, Almond & Chili Garlic Dressing

GRASS-FED BISON BURGER: Umami, Mushroom, Onion, Mayo, Watercress, Parmesan & Flax Seed Bun

DESSERT

FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE: Cocoa, Vanilla Ice Cream, Almond Butter & Caramel

SQUASH PIE: Coconut Whipped Cream, Graham Sesame Crust

Everything we tried was delicious. Their attention to detail in every item was on point. This place is seriously a must try. Their food tastes so whole, fresh and vibrant. They really focus on the flavors. My absolute favorites were the butternut squash pizza, the bison burger and the chocolate cake. My favorite soda was the sparkling apple. We also had a tasty latte with our desserts.

I am not even really that big on burgers but I would go back just for the bison burger. The combination of umami with the parmesan flakes on top of bison was mouth watering. I also would have never thought to order a butternut squash pizza but it has a great balance of salty sweet. That chocolate cake was almost a brownie like consistency and layered with caramel sauce and ice cream. Mmm.

If you have not been to True Food Kitchen, now is the time to go! These delicious fall menu items won’t be around forever. They change up their menu with the seasons, so make sure you get in there soon to try out these delicious new fall menu items.
