Valentine’s day is this Friday people! Seriously these holidays are just flying by me lately. I know, I know… not everyone thinks of Valentine’s day as a holiday, but I do! I LOVE it. It probably has a little something to do with the fact that I found out I was preggo on Valentine’s day 3 years ago and my hubby and I got together 11 years ago on Valentine’s day. So I say it’s time to Spread The Love with your loved ones. I put together a few gift and bubble ideas to make your day special.
1. Heart Earrings 2. Personalized Where We Met Puzzle 3. Love & Kisses Necklace 4. Amore Champagne Flutes 5. San Diego Chocolates
I love these jewelry ideas from Tiffany’s. Simple. Sleek. And Cute. I also completely fell in love with the gift ideas from Red Envelope. The Amore Champagne flutes are gorgeous (and I really need a new set of Champagne flutes). The personalized puzzle is such a unique idea too. Have you been to Dallmann’s chocolates? They opened up a new store recently at The Headquarters in San Diego and let me just say – YUM!
1. Bon Affair Sauvignon Blanc Wine Spritzer 2. Segura Viudas Brut Rosé 3. Freixenet Sweet Cuvée
What goes better with love and Valentine’s day than Bubbles? I love me a good bottle of bubbly. I know you have read that I have a love affair with Bon Affair – the incredibly tasty, light and healthy bubbly. Bon Affair is perfect if you are looking for something light but satisfying.
I have also ran into a few other tasty bubbles – the Brut Rose and Sweet Cuvee. The Brut Rose is light and sweet with hints of strawberry. An excellent choice for something pink to drink. The Sweet Cuvee is fruity, creamy and bold with a crisp finish. All of these bubbles would be perfect to share with your lovelies on Valentine’s day.
Bon Affair Sauvignon Blanc Wine Spritzer
Sauv Bon’s citrus notes are bright, like your decision-making. Bubbles spark your palate. Now it’s happy hour in your mouth. This white wine spritzer keeps you light on your feet; not on a drowsy search for padded furniture. If your favorite white wine had a wild weekend with pure carbonated water and electrolytes—Sauv Bon is the lovechild. “We wine spritzers are a proud breed,” says Sauv Bon. “I’m not going to lie. The 70s hurt. But we are back. And we’re better.”
Segura Viudas Brut Rosé
Bright, light strawberry pink, with hints of salmon and a pale rim. A fine, abundant and consistent mousse, rising to a good crown. Youthful fruit aromas of strawberry, redcurrant and grenadine. Refreshing on the palate, full of cherry fruit and a light acidity. A soft finish on the back of the palate gives a lovely approachable balance to this very drinkable Cava.
Freixenet Sweet Cuvée
Sipping sweetly, this new Friexenet Cordon Negro Sweet Cuvée charms with peaches and cream on the nose. Fine bubbles form a delightfully playful and creamy mousse that closes with a sweet, long finish. Highly drinkable, and perfect with seafood.
I wish you all a very happy Valentine’s Day and I hope you share it with your loved ones. I plan to enjoy a nice meal out with my hubby to celebrate our 11 years together on Thursday. Then we will probably keep it low key and spend time with our kiddo on Valentine’s day. We usually have Italian food and I’m sure I will pop open a bottle of bubbly.
I received a sample of the bubbly for editorial consideration. All opinions are my own.
I really LOVE those champagne flutes. Unfortunately, I don’t actually need them. I might need those chocolates though. Can’t wait to get down to The Headquarters to check them out!
I guess I don’t NEED them either, but the champagne flutes would be a fabulous addition to my kitchen 🙂 You will love Dallmann’s chocolates… SO GOOD!
