It’s local business spotlight time with Luci Lampe of Sexy Mama Movement! Luci is a mom of 4, author of Achieving Sexy, and founder of the Sexy Mama Movement®. As a Sexy Living Strategist, she coaches high-performing career moms in creating their sexiest lives. Luci speaks on the power of mothers on world impact, integrating creativity with productivity, and building thriving relationships at home and in the workplace. How awesome is that?!
I “met” Luci online through my friend Angela of Angela Grace Events. When I heard about what she was doing I knew I wanted to get involved too and shine some light on her and her upcoming events.
Q&A with Luci Lampe, Sexy Mama Movement Founder
How did Sexy Mama Movement start?
The Sexy Mama Movement was birthed soon after my third daughter was. I’d been training women for several years, and had begun training more and more moms. They came to me wanting to lose the baby weight and ditch the mommy pooch, and I came to realize that it was never really about the weight; it was more about their confidence, self-acceptance, and sense of wholeness and worthiness. This movement became a critical piece of the puzzle in supporting moms to live authentically, powerfully, and unapologetically, regardless of their dress size or measurements.
How do you balance work and home life as a business owner?
I do my fair share of counter-balancing, but totally prefer to integrate as much as possible. I run my schedule, and refuse to let it run me. I learned the hard way that boundaries are a must, and keeping the vision for our family front and center is always a win.
What does self-care look like for you?
Self-care for me is my morning meditation, taking walks to the cliffs or beach, jumping in the ocean with the kids, and enjoying a glass of wine with a bowl of frozen cherries.
What does a typical day look like for you?
My typical day depends on what day of the week I’m in, but for the most part, they all involve meditation after waking, changing toddlers’ diapers, making breakfast, having a quick workout and/or going for a walk, taking some calls or going to meetings, doing a few coaching calls, going on a walk with the family, maybe some beach time, dinner at home, and our best attempts at keeping everyone happy through bedtime…followed by cramming our adult life into 2-3 hours at the end of the day. My husband just started getting really into yoga, so now we’re doing more yoga together at the end of the day. Otherwise, it’s a steady stream of activity, hence the NEED for daily stillness and meditation!
What motivates you to keep going?
My vision keeps me motivated. The thought of building up this community of powerful moms who are taking ownership and creating the lives they want is incredibly exciting.
Where do you see Sexy Mama Movement in 5 years?
I see huge events, workshops, and retreats in the future. The Sexy Mama Movement is going LIVE, baby! The first of many events is September 30th, here in San Diego at the Marina Village Conference Center. I’m thrilled (and also a little terrified) to finally be hosting events. It’s been part of my vision for years, and the first one is on its way. Join us for if you’re in the area!
I can’t wait for the Back to School Sexy Mamas Day Out event! If you’re local to San Diego, grab your ticket and I’ll see you there!
