San Diego Restaurant Week Taste Recap #SDRWTaste2012

A huge thanks to Happy Hour Magazine for having a facebook contest! I won 2 tickets to the #SDRWTaste2012 by telling them my favorite restaurant from the list of attendees (Cucina Urbana) and by sharing their contest on Twitter & Instagram. I heart social media <3.

I was immediately excited when I saw the red carpet at the entrance to the event. I love San Diego food tasting events and I wish I could go to all of them! Unfortunately, I normally wouldn’t be able to spend $75/ticket for an event. This is why I am so thankful for contests and social media!

Here are a few photos of the delicious samplings they had to offer. The event was all you can eat and drink. This is good and bad for me. I love to try everything! I had a few too many tastes of the wine of course but that’s another story. I wish I would have documented the tastings a little better but here are a few of the highlights:

The event was held at the gorgeous Broadway Pier. A great location for a San Diego foodie event.

Oh, lets not forget the entertainment! The band sounded great and looked like a fun swing band so I thought I would take a picture. The singer decided I should be the one getting my picture taken… so here I am. On Stage. After 5 minutes of arriving. Fun times.

All in all, it was a great event. I wouldn’t mind forking out the dough to attend next year. It is totally worth it!
