Last week my hubby and I had our 4 year wedding anniversary! Whoa… time goes by fast! We went to the WineSellar & Brasserie in Sorrento Valley (San Diego) to celebrate. I had a delicious tasting of “Warm Weathered Red Wines” and my hubby tried a couple of their craft beers.
The Winesellar and Brasserie is kind of like 2 restaurants and a wine shop all in one place. The upstairs area is “The Brasserie” and is more for fine dining or a nice meal out. The downstairs hosts the WineSellar and “The Casual Side”, a wine and craft beer bar. We opted for the casual side but ordered food from The Brasserie. You can also order food from The Casual Side. This is a great spot to stop in for happy hour!
We shared the pan seared yellowfin tuna and the lamb shank with pistachios. The food was AMAZING! I especially loved the yellowfin. It was perfectly seared on top of deliciously seasoned greens with onions and some sort of fabulous sauce drizzled all over it. We will be coming back to try some of their other items and do a little more wine tasting!
