Painting + Wellness Workshop

The very first BriGeeski Painting + Wellness Workshop was an absolute blast! I am so overly grateful for all of the ladies who came out for the first event. We started the morning off with a brief introduction into following your heart followed by a wonderful talk on self love from Juliette Sak Life + Wellness. Women want to thrive in their lives. Sometimes a little reminder to take care of yourself and follow your heart are needed for that extra push.

Juliette believes self-care comes from within. “You have to get to know and love yourself in order to reap the benefits of amazing self-care. Self-discovery and self-love are necessary to find self-care that truly resonates for you!” – Juliette. She also says effective self-care should be personal, mindful and intentional. I couldn’t agree more!

Next we heard from Teresa from Clean & Colorful Kitchen about healthy living made easy. She gave us some really helpful tips for eating well. She does not believe in diets (neither do I) but she does believe in following a few helpful principals:

  1. Eat Less Processed Food.
  2. Eat all 5 Colors Everyday.
  3. Swap one Snack or Meal per day with a Juice or Smoothie.
  4. Exercise at least 21-Minutes a Day 6 Days a Week.

I absolutely love these principals. Teresa is so full of vibrant energy and her excitement for wellness is contagious. She shared all about her love for veggies and the ladies learned so much from her. Teresa brought us a tasty lunch from her new business, Clean & Colorful Kitchen which delivers fresh, local meals to your door. For this event, she used produce from Melissa’s Produce to bring us 3 tasty samplers packed full of veggies and flavor.

Hotel Karlan made sure we stayed hydrated all day with their tasty fruit infused water. They sent us out a few appetizers and cookies for dessert. On top of all of this deliciousness, Sambazon also sent us their yummy frozen Acai chocolate bites. After attending so many foodie events, I had to make sure our attendees were well fed with delicious food!

Then we started our beach scene painting class. I really enjoyed taking the time to teach a painting class to a group of ladies. I recently started volunteering at my daughters school with their art program teaching TK art classes. I used to paint when I was in high school ALL the time and a bit in college as well. Once I started working I seemed to have lost the time to continue one of my favorite activities. I’m so excited to have this back in my life. I’ve been painting a lot more and I can’t wait to host another workshop. Painting classes are also in the works!

I wanted to include painting in the first wellness workshop because it is one of my favorite ways to unwind. The ladies seemed to really enjoy it too. Painting should be fun and the best part is that it does not need to be perfect!

I had so much fun painting and felt right at home teaching! We received a few fun goodies to give out to the ladies from Whole Foods, Sambazon, Melissa’s Produce and San Diego Magazine.

For the remainder of the day, we chilled, poolside. It was fabulous!

Thanks to all of our sponsors!
