This Girl’s Mint Julep

Have you heard of This Girl Walks into A Bar? Jordan and Jocelyn are sisters who collaborated to create a blog, books, barware and more. They are currently launching their newest book: Cocktails for Cougars and Cowgirls, Simple & Delicious Recipes for Every Woman. I really love their style and the simplicity of their recipes. Today, I’m sharing their recipe for a Mint Julep!

This Girl’s Mint Julep

3 Ounces Bourbon
1 Ounce Mint Simple Syrup
Sprig of Mint Leaves Garnish
Crushed Ice

Wrap two cups of crushed ice in kitchen towels and pound with a meat tenderizer or a rolling pin until the ice is finely smashed. Scoop the ice into a silver cup, then add the mint simple syrup, followed by the bourbon. Garnish with a fresh sprig of mint and serve.

I can’t wait to try this tasty looking cocktail!

I received a copy of this sweet book! All opinions are my own.

I love sharing about family, food and fun in and around San Diego! Enjoy, Bri
