Life with Two

I haven’t had nearly as much time to write the last few months.

It is now 5 hours later and I’m going to try writing this again. The baby had woken up one sentence after sitting down. Then the 4 year old asked for a snack and that was that. My initial goal for this single post was to get a few ideas out of my head and share what life is like with 2 little ones. I’ve had a few business and blog ideas lately and I’m trying to narrow down my focus. I have been feeling like there is a lot I’d like to do but no time to do it.

Over the last few months, we’ve been through a lot of changes. I switched my daughter’s preschool schedule (and my work hours) and my son is learning to walk while holding on to EVERYTHING. He is also eating EVERYTHING. I don’t just mean tiny little items found on the floor, but also ALL of the food. He can eat as much at one meal as I can.

Life with two kids under four

All of the little changes that happen when kids are small seem to feel like really big life changes. Unless you are in those moments, it is hard for other people to understand how much your life changes when babies grow and when kids grow up.

I’m really hoping to keep my little guy at home with me as long as I can. I loved that I had the chance to do that with my girl. My goal for my blog, work, life balance is to keep moving forward. Yes, it is much more difficult with 2 but it is also way more fun.

I’m grateful for my family who makes the time to watch these 2 little ones when I really need the help. It can be overwhelming and exhausting. I never realized how much I valued quiet time till there were 2. I have found as many ways as possible to prepare for the following day each evening. It helps keep things in some sort of order. Life with two is way more chaotic but also magical. I love how they look at each other and can’t wait for the day when they can really play together.

As for my business and blog ideas, I’m still planning a redesign for my logo and blog, so keep an eye out. And YAY! I got in a blog post! Happy Monday! -Bri

  1. Congratulations on your second baby! I remember those days so well! As you noted, it is wonderful that you have given them the gift of each other. Mine are now 15 and 11 and the closest of friends (interspersed with occasional bickering 😉 We did consider stopping at one and when I think about that now it makes me sad!

I do remember the exhaustion and the chaos, though! Get some rest when you can!

    🙂

    1. Thank you Elena! I’m so happy they have each other. I imagine when they are older it will be so nice.
