Life As It Is 8/4/16

When I started this blog, I was looking for a creative outlet. It has grown into something I probably never thought was possible. I love sharing new information, ideas and personal experiences to help others find their own place. I want to help people follow their hearts and make their dreams a reality. In these posts I’m going to share anything that’s going on in our life as it is. I will be sharing whats going on as well as things that we are grateful for.

I wrote a few posts recently on remembering to take me time and finding a solid work / life balance. I really wanted to be home with my baby boy for his first year. I was able to do that with my girl and I wanted the same for him. I’m so happy we found a way to make that happen. Now that he is 14 months I feel more comfortable having help with him. I hired a babysitter in July and it has helped me so much. I also realized that I really do enjoy working and I needed to make time for that.

I love working with my design clients and my blogging sponsors. BriGeeski (the blog) has become a resource for moms and women to find ideas for restaurants, travel, party planning, recipes and general fun. I’ve been talking to some really cool people about upcoming projects. Keep an eye out for some fun news from Sprouts!

As I’ve been transitioning into finding my way with work projects and home life, I’ve been taking some time out for summer fun with the kids. We went to Legoland last week and had a great time. My mom-in-law came with us and we spent the day exploring everything Legoland has to offer. We really enjoyed the waterpark and I can’t wait to go back again. I’d really like to stay at their hotel one of these days too. It is such a fun place for the little kids and its become one of my favorite amusement parks.

We’ve also been going to my parents house on Monday evenings to hang out and go in the pool. We typically go there every Sunday but Mark has been working a lot and we haven’t made it over as much lately. That should be changing (please universe) so we can spend more time together. I love that my niece and my girl have so much fun together. They are the cutest and seriously squeal when they see each other. The photo above was from this week’s Monday Funday.

I’m a huge advocate of Put it in the Universe. I think it all started when I was younger and started showing up here in my Dream Boards. If there is something you want in life you have to tell the universe and go after it. If you dream it and believe it, it will come. I’m loving the #Putitintheuniverse Facebook group my friend Xenia started. It’s a fun and safe place for people who live with this mindset.

I also am loving the blogging community. I always have really. They have so much great energy and always seem helpful. I’ve worked with a lot of different industries and this one just feels good. I am going to BlogHer this weekend! Actually tomorrow. EEK! I need to pack. I’m really excited to see familiar faces, meet new people and learn from all the speakers and sponsors.

Lastly, I’ve really enjoyed spending more time with friends lately. We all seem to be so busy these days and making time for friends is so important.

I hope you enjoyed this first life as it is post. xo – Bri
