The first steps in creating a beautiful holiday gift basket for foodies is collecting all the items. I wanted to go with an authentic Italian gift basket because the ingredients are so rich, beautiful and comforting. These types of baskets are always fun to give or receive because they are so versatile. This Italian gift basket features Signature RESERVE Pomodoro Marinara, Tomato Basil and Tomato Parmesan pasta sauce as well as Penne Rigate and Fusilli pasta. I picked up a large, holiday-themed bowl and kitchen towels to bring the basket together. I purchased all of the items at my local Vons but you can also get these at Albertsons or Pavilions.
My family is part Italian and maybe my favorite part because of the delicious heritage. Almost all of my family is big on eating Italian food at least once a week. My mom’s favorite dinner is pasta and my aunt makes a mean lasagna. We make pasta all the time too, especially when we want an easy or quick dinner.
