Farm Fresh To You

I received this product as part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Weave Made Media® and Farm Fresh To You, but all my opinions are my own. #weavemade  #farmfreshtotable http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

I got the chance to try out Farm Fresh To You a couple weeks ago. It was so nice to have produce delivered right to my door. I went to their website to choose what I wanted and it arrived the very next week! The site was super simple to navigate and it was easy to select what I wanted. I didn’t make anything super crazy with the produce because it has been a busy few weeks but I made use of all the ingredients and stayed healthy all week.

Ordering my produce online from Farm Fresh To You saved me a bunch of time which is super helpful right now. Going to the grocery store or farmers market with a 3 year old and a baby has not been that easy. I loved that I could select which type of box I wanted – mixed fruit/veggie, no cooking, fruit only or veggie only. I picked a mixed veggie and fruit box. You can also add and remove items you don’t want which is extra helpful. I like this feature because with other CSA boxes I have tried, you do not get this option.

The box I ordered included potatoes, mini watermelon, Valencia oranges, yellow peaches, white nectarines, baby broccoli, white corn, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, zucchini, red grapes, corno di toro (red sweet peppers), beautiful heirloom tomatoes and red plums. Everything was fresh and delicious.

I tried making zucchini tots but I think I didn’t cook them long enough. They were a little soft and not nearly as crispy as tater tots. I will have to try this again though. Don’t zucchini tots sound yummy?

Our favorite meal of the week was when we grilled up some steak, made some mashed potatoes and a put together a quick fresh salad using the romaine lettuce, heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers.

My favorite of the fruits were the small red plums. I was popping those things like candy. They were crisp and juicy. I grabbed one almost every time I opened the refrigerator.

Have you tried Farm Fresh to You or any other CSA type of delivery service? What did you think?

  1. We did a CSA awhile ago – I need to be more specific about what I want in the box so that the random stuff doesn’t go to waste. I’m not one to look for a recipe just to make use of one produce item that I’m not used to. Being able to customize is so important! This sounds like a great option given the age of your kiddos right now!

  2. Whoa, that’s such a time saver. And the produce looks so fresh and top quality. I wish we could have something like that here. What kind of payment do they offer? Exclusive to credit or cash on delivery?
