Experiencing KAABOO

Last month I attended two days of KAABOO. It was AMAZING! KAABOO is a 3 day “mix-perience” at the Del Mar Fairgrounds including music, comedy, food + drink, artwork, a pool and even an indoor spa zone. My experience at KAABOO may have been a little different than most and not exactly what I expected but it was what I needed. I spent a large part of the first day in the indulgence room which is their relaxation and spa area. It had been a really long week with work and the kiddos and I hadn’t had any me-time. My experience at KAABOO was magical.

My awesome madre and I attended the first day together. We walked around and checked out all the vendor booths and the artwork. We got a free iron-pressed KAABOO shirt from Ciroc. Then we enjoyed some delicious food. The sriracha tots were awesome as well as the mozzarella balls from Bottega Americano.

Later in the day we had a giant gyro which also hit the spot.

We sat down and listened to some bands play. We just enjoyed and did whatever looked like fun. We event got fake silver tattoos. Ok maybe I got a few fake silver tattoos. They were so fun!

Once we found the indulgence room, I didn’t want to leave. It smelled so good in there. It was like this calming day spa with fun booths of goodies. I had a massage, got my hair done, checked out some essential oils and walked around.

While I was in the indulgence room, I spoke with Katie from Awaken the Peace about the jewelry and her products. She calls her Awaken the Peace jewelry wearable wellness. I love that. Each charm has a blend of high vibrational gems, minerals and metals to help with inner joy and peace. Unhealthy frequencies and low vibrational blockages are neutralized allowing space for health and wellbeing.

I have always wanted to help others and encourage others to follow their hearts in life and career. She ended up gifting me this beautiful Iolite necklace. I absolutely love it and it is a reminder for me to follow my heart and help others to follow their hearts. I was totally ready to experience the rest of KAABOO after my time relaxing in the indulgence room. Later that day my madre and I saw Echosmith and Jimmy Buffet. It was so awesome.

The next day my dad and Mark joined us for all the fun! We started with food again and tried all sorts of tasty bites. The artwork room had local restaurants serving up delicious food. The food and drinks are pretty pricy so watch out for that but they definitely have good food to try.

We kept it pretty mellow on the second day too and just really enjoyed being out and about. I love that there are so many things to do and check out at KAABOO. The artwork, the bands, the food, the indulgence room and really so much more. They had a charity poker tournament, late night music, comedians, DJs, a pool and artists all around. Mark and I went to see Flo Rida and the crowd was so full of energy and good vibes.

There was a swarm of people to get in there but it was so worth it! Then we saw the Goo Goo Dolls, Lenny Kravitz and my other favorite: Aerosmith!! Lenny was also amazing.

Aerosmith just completely nailed it. They were so good!

I so plan to go to KAABOO again next year and completely encourage you to check it out. They even offer one day passes if you just want to get a feel for it. I had an amazing experience and I wish I could go again this weekend! Have you been? What did you love most?

I received tickets to attend KAABOO. All opinions are my own.

I love sharing about family, food and fun in and around San Diego! Enjoy, Bri
