Last week was Dishcrawl in Chula Vista. I was a little skeptical about what to expect since I am never in Chula Vista and haven’t really explored the area. The Chula Vista Dishcrawl took place in the beautiful neighborhood of Eastlake. I was amazed at the enormous shopping center and the amount of restaurants within it.
The first (and my favorite) stop was at Pho Heip Grill. I have tried Pho before and it is usually quite tasty but this place surpassed the typical flavors of Pho. We tried fried pho noodles, a pork sausage roll and an authentic Vietnamese crepe. Go to Pho Heip Grill and order the Crepe! Amazing!
Our second stop was at Luna Grill. I have seen Luna Grill around San Diego before but have never had the chance to try it out. I really liked the chicken and their hummus was tasty! I like the new menu design too. As an added bonus everything on the menu is Gluten Free!
Our third stop was at Miguel’s Cocina. Miguel’s is a family favorite for us. We go to the 4S Ranch location about once a month. My favs from Miguels are always the Ultimate Margarita, chips with white sauce and a crispy fish taco. We also had the appetizer plater – covered with nachos, quesadillas, calamari, taquitos and ceviche. Yum!
Our fourth and final stop was Via Lago Trattoria, from the Busalacchi family of restaurants. They created a dessert buffet of amazing little tartlets, chocolate covered strawberries and little pastries. The display was gorgeous and the treats were fabulous. They had an amazing live singer playing the piano for our entertainment. I would love to go back here and try out their dinner items.
We had a great time trying new restaurants with Dishcrawl Chula Vista and were so happy to meet Nicole – Our Dishcrawl Ambassador.
