My hubby and I are always excited when we get a date night out – just the two of us. Last night we went out to dinner at The Yard House (an old favorite of ours). After dinner we walked around downtown and made a quick stop at Horton Plaza for some shopping. Then we went to the San Diego Rep Theatre to watch Venus in Fur. We recently watched A Weekend with Pablo Picasso at the same theater. We have really enjoyed our dates at the San Diego Rep.

Venus in Fur is about a young actress who auditions for a role from a demanding playwright director. The director has written a play based on an 1870’s erotic novel “Venus in Furs”. The actress and director get wrapped up in acting out the play in a test of man vs. woman, director vs. actress and writer vs. muse. The play questions dominance, control, sexuality and love.
We had an excellent date night and really enjoyed the show. Check it out for yourself:
