The San Diego Chargers will kick off the season Monday night and will be offering healthier food options for the football fans. I went to a preview tasting last night and got to sample the new additions. There were some yummy new options. I was surprised to see the elevated menu items at a stadium.
My go to picks for the season are:
BBQ Pork Nachos from Out of Boundz Nachos
All Natural Bratwurst from The Natural
Hand-breaded Chicken Tenders from The Natural
Garlic Fries from Wanaburger
Mahi Mahi Tacos from The Most Interesting Beach Bar
Roasted Turkey & Provolone Sandwich from the Metro Deli
Don’t miss out on:
Nitro Ice Cream from Sweets & Treats
Red Blend Fetzer Crimson to go style wine glass with a lid
The food was really good and the prices weren’t bad either. The 7″ sandwich from the Metro Deli is $10 – yes more expensive than Subway but it is better quality and it is sold at a football stadium.
I totally loved these portable wine glasses from Fetzer. The packaging is super cute and once it is removed you can see the plastic lid comes off the top and doubles as a coaster. These are perfect for walking through a crowded stadium.
Let’s not forget the creamy and delicious nitro ice cream. As executive chef, Sean Kavanaugh pointed out this is one creamy ice cream and its made with only 5 simple ingredients.

CBS 8 was also at the tasting event and they interviewed my mom and I. I am a bit camera shy and I am sure my mini interview proved that. So, I am happy to be in one of the first clips grabbing some food (not talking).
