Bo Beau Kitchen + Garden #SDRW

Er my gosh! If you are looking for a tasty spot to enjoy San Diego Restaurant Week, you must try Bo Beau Kitchen + Garden in La Mesa. The restaurant is beautifully designed and the food is fab! If you have little ones, they even have a hollowed out school bus for the kiddos to run around in next to a giant chalkboard wall.

I got a preview of Bo Beau’s Restaurant Week menu with my madre and kiddo. My madre ordered a mocha to get started and when it came out I immediately ordered a decaf mocha. Look how gorgeous this thing is:

Then we selected our Restaurant Week menu options. We each ordered off the menu and the chef even brought us that evenings special: an amazing steak with fingerling potatoes, mushrooms and brussels sprouts.

We ordered the following off the restaurant week menu:
French Onion Soup Gratinee
Roasted Jalapeño Deviled Eggs
Spicy Shrimp Flatbread
Rotini + Cheese
Root Beer Float with Bourbon Caramel Ice Cream and Bacon Jack
Flourless Chocolate Cake with Peanut Brittle

Everything we ordered was delicious. I highly recommend the French Onion Soup, the Jalapeño Deviled Eggs and the Rotini + Cheese with Bacon. I could have also just ordered dessert and been plenty satisfied. Dessert was almost a meal in itself and was highly enjoyable for this preggo.

The steak special

The chef wanted us to try the evenings special and I am so glad he brought it out. It was so flavorful. I loved the mushroom sauce that the potatoes and steak were soaked in. The crispy onion rings on top also really set off the dish. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other menu items. The chefs at Bo Beau Kitchen + Garden definitely know what they are doing in the kitchen. Trying the restaurant week menu is the way to go for a good sampling of their menu options.
