Today I spent the afternoon at the Bernardo Winery with my mom and grandma. The live jazz music, beautiful setting, delicious wines and the tasty appetizers from Cafe Merlot make for a fabulous Sunday afternoon!
The Bernardo Winery used to be full of older folk.. seeing how it is in the heart of Rancho Bernardo, but it has evolved greatly over the last few years. I am constantly seeing ads for their farmers market, grape stomps, dinner pairings, and art fairs. It has become a place for all ages to enjoy.
The winery just expanded their tasting room to accommodate for more people and moved their restaurant to a more easily accessible location on the lot. They have added more stores and even a historical museum. The view of all of the people dancing and enjoying their day at the winery is proof that they have come a long way over the years and have created a new San Diego destination.
