The holidays are here and I love that our local attractions get in the festive spirit too! This year we got the opportunity to check out Seas ‘n’ Greetings from our awesome sponsor Birch Aquarium. Seas ‘n’ Greetings is a month-long celebration featuring SEAsonal activities for the whole family in the magical under water world at Birch Aquarium. The aquarium is transformed into a winter wonderland with festive holiday activities.
We headed over to Birch around 9AM last Saturday for some weekend fun. We explored the aquarium and checked out all of the fish and sea life. Some of my favorites are the lionfish, sea horse and large Garibaldi fish.
After our walk through the aquarium we headed out to the tidepools so the kiddos could take a closer look. They looked inside each tidepool and touched a couple sea anemones.
We listened to some live music by Hullaballo. He was singing some of the kids’ favorites like “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” as we checked out the sea life. The kiddos always seem like they are in awe when we go to these type of places. The little guy was, of course, walking around like he owned the place. He has such a sweet charm and is always interested in seeing new things.
I love to watch them explore. I love to watch them embrace the moment we are in. I love to see them learn. They are my heart.
I asked a lady nearby if she would take our photo since I hardly get photos with all of us. I was glad I did and I need to remember to do this more often!
After the tidepools, we headed back inside for the Santa Dive Show. It was really fun to see Santa swimming around with his elf and all the sea creatures. The show was really informative and exciting! Santa even fed the fish and we watched a giant bass come down to Santa to get a bite to eat.
There was a wall for writing wishes on snowflakes and hanging them up for the winter season. The little missy wished for a Happy New Year. Love her.
Check Out Seas ‘N’ Greetings at Birch Aquarium all month in December! If you’re interested in an evening of glowing creatures, check out Holiday Night Lights on December 14th! Have you been to Birch Aquarium? What’s your favorite sea creature?
